Can you believe it?  It’s a real life treehouse… in Brooklyn!

Pratt Institute graduate, Alexandra Meyn, built a treehouse behind her apartment building in Bedford-Stuyvesant, BK.

Working with a $400 budget, Ms. Meyn found doors in the trash and bought floorboards, paint and other items at Build It Green.

Ms. Meyn started the project because she was unable to find a job or internship after graduating with a Masters in Interior Design… so she decided to create her own.

HOW AWESOME IS THIS!?!?!  She has made the 40-square-foot space waterproof and airtight, and plans to use it as a painting studio this winter.

An electrical cord stretches from her bedroom and illuminates the house at night.
